In 2008, two New York City mothers launched the Mandarin Seeds program by teaching "Mommy & Me" Mandarin music classes for their toddlers and friends in a yoga studio. As their children grew, the program expanded to offer Mandarin enrichment classes for preschoolers and elementary school students. The Ya Ya curriculum and teaching model, developed by Mandarin Seeds, quickly built a strong reputation for providing a highly engaging and effective Mandarin learning experience, winning the hearts of countless children and their families​
